Learning Centers
The Kennebec Valley YMCA Learning Center programs are located at the Augusta and Manchester campuses. Our Learning Center programs are dedicated to enhancing the lives of children. We foster supportive relationships, create developmentally appropriate experiences and encourage the unique qualities of all children. We welcome families who value children and appreciate the caring, educational and professional environment we provide.
Our emphasis is on Learning through play. This focus allows children to explore the world around them at an individual pace. The planning and provision of activities at the KV YMCA Learning Center are based on the developmental needs of children. Our curriculum incorporates the four YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
The Augusta YMCA Learning Center serves breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack as part of the USDA food program for children ages 1 and up. The Manchester Learning Center serves A.M. snack and P.M. snack as part of the USDA food program.
Our goal is to provide children with experiences that stimulate physical, social, intellectual and emotional growth.
