Currently Accepting Applications for the following:

Swim Lesson Instructor, Part-time

Swim Instructor--part time

Description: Provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes.

Essential Functions:
1. Instructs swimming lessons as assigned in accordance with YMCA guidelines, having prepared lesson plans accordingly.

2. Develops positive relationships with members and participants and provides motivational support and guidance.

3. Encourages member and parent involvement and identifies potential volunteers.

4. Conveys information on aquatics programs and schedules and as appropriate refers members and participants to other programs.
5. Maintains records as required (i.e. attendance, progress reports, etc.).

6. Attends staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
7. Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.
8. Organizes and puts away needed class equipment. Reports damaged equipment.
9. Trains and supervises class aides as assigned.


Lifeguard, Part-time

Lifeguard: part time
Description: Responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons in the water and surrounding areas by preventing and responding to emergencies. Candidates need to be responsible, able to work with people of all abilities and backgrounds and possess strong decision making skills.  Candidates must be at least 15 years of age and lifeguard certified.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Thorough knowledge and application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques
-An understanding of facility characteristics, rules, policies, and procedures
-Leadership and public relations skills
-Strong decision-making skills


Gymnastics Instructor

Currently seeking a part-time (includes some nights & weekends) gymnastics instructor with a strong background in gymnastics. Candidate must be able to work well with youth. Previous experience required.


Group Exercise Instructors

Group exercise instructors wanted. If you have experience or interest in teaching group fitness classes and would like to instruct in a YMCA environment, please submit your application. Nationally-recognized certification and CPR/AED certification recommended, but not required.
