Child Watch Assistant

The Kennebec Valley YMCA Learning Center is looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to work part-time in our Child Watch program at both the Augusta and Manchester Campuses. The position entails working with children 6 weeks to 12 years while their parents exercise. The hours are Monday - Thursday 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and Saturday 7:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. (These hours may be shared with multiple employees.) Assistant Teacher

Seeking enthusiastic, energetic assistant teacher for Learning Center classrooms (toddler, preschool and afterschool).  Experience in early childhood education preferred.


Tai Chi Instructor

We are seeking a Tai Chi instructor to offer fee-related classes on Friday evenings at the KV YMCA in Augusta.  Must be able to accommodate mixed skill levels of participants.  Prior teaching experience and former master training desired. 


Group Exercise Instructors

Certified/experienced group exercise instructors are also needed for specialty programming.  If you have experience teaching Zumba, Pilates, Group Indoor Cycling, Boot Camp, Triathlon Training, or youth/teen fitness programs, and would like to instruct in a YMCA environment please submit your application.  Y-USA Group Exercise Instructor (or other nationally recognized certification) and CPR/AED Certification required.


Lifequards & Swim Instructors

The KV YMCA is seeking lifeguards and swim instructors.  Candidates need to be responsible, able to work with people of all abilities and backgrounds and possess strong decision making skills.  Candidates must be at least 15 years of age and lifeguard certified.
